When I was in the 7th grade (having moved to Illinois), my English teacher had us write our own autobiographies. I still have mine and it’s fun to read. Evidently, I thought I had a good life (so far).
When my son was a toddler, I began writing cute things he said or did into a notebook (which I still have). Later on, I began writing down what I remember of my own childhood – although my sister and brothers often remember things differently – Isn’t that funny?
This blog is about memories of being a kid. The posts are not intended to be in date order, but according to categories and time periods.
Many of the posts will be of my own childhood memories from the 1960s, but I will also memories from friends and relatives; and hopefully from readers, too.
Please leave comments and share any posts you find interesting; I’d love to hear from you.
